Where is Spring?

Around here we can't WAIT for spring to arrive.....our winters are LONG and by about March we've HAD IT with the cold weather and are ready to get back outside to play!! It was Sofia's first time outside other than for a walk and she was mesmerized! Hop over to our other blog to check out more pictures of Sofia!

Dentist x3

Not gonna lie, I may have had a nightmare or two about taking all 3 girls to the dentist this morning bright and early! I was wondering what I was thinking when I decided to schedule Zoya and Mila together and then added Sofia on! Shawn was threatened with his life kind enough to change his work schedule so he could  come along for the fun ;)

We take the girls to a pediatric dentist and they've always been SOOOOO amazing with Zoya, and were equally as great today with all 3 girls!

This was  Zoya's 4th visit, but her first really successful visit! We took our trusty old headphones, which helped her a lot. We've also been reading a book about going to the dentist every day for the past couple of months. I've been brushing her teeth laying down twice a day and playing dentist with her for the past few months as well. We've been doing a lot of things to help Zoya's anxiety (I'll do another post on all of that another time)....and we were so thrilled to see her have such a successful visit!

Mila was the lucky one to ride in the stroller because, hey, we only have so many arms! The dentist just decided to get right down on the floor and leave her in her stroller to examine her...proved to be a very smart move :) She didn't use her "fire whistle cry" even once, which is pretty shocking! Having doctors/dentists/professionals who are so laid back really makes a difference when it comes time for exams!

Sofia has been going through a little "stranger fear" phase, which is a really good sign at this stage of the bonding process! She did great with the dentist and assistant holding her and checking her out while we stood close by! The doctor at the international adoption clinic wanted her to visit the dentist prior to the suggested 2nd birthday visit because her teeth were discolored when we were first home. Thankfully, she checked out great today with no bottle rot or discoloration....you'd be surprised how much a toothbrush and toothpaste helps in a kid whose never had their teeth brushed ;)

We're so thankful when we find specialists who are patient, understanding, and enjoy working with our girls! I'm REALLY thankful we have that appointment under our belts and it was successful for all 3!

We're Still Alive :)

Just a little bit tired.............

Some serious bedhead from a very restless night! 

This little lady must be doing some serious growing because she's not been sleeping well, which means we weren't really sleeping well!!! Thankfully the past few days she's seemed to return to a more normal sleep state, which I'm so grateful for! I hope it keeps up! She has returned to a normal sleep pattern just in time for her sleep study on Monday! HA! She keeps us on our toes :)

Hoping to get some more posts up soon! For now, we're alive and well :) Finishing up a 4 month long plethora of doctor appointments soon!!!! I will be thankful to have some "less scheduled" days in the near future!

You can see that Sofia has almost caught up to Mila in size!!! And Sofia (right) is 6 months younger than Mila! 

With each passing day she becomes more and more beautiful! 

Also another new fun game around here...stick your finger in children's mouths until you get bit, then cry! 

Zoya was laughing and would never bite her! Sofia and Mila, however, bit each other when they stick their fingers in one another's mouths! Then they cry! HAHA. 

This picture makes me laugh so hard! Sofia is thinking "Hurry get the movie going before Mom finds out!!!" And Mila is  not even close to finding the right buttons to turn it on, but she's trying!
