Mama Doesn't Like My New Word!
Hi Guys....Zoya here! I learned how to say "NO NO NO" recently and my mama thought it was so cute....for about 24 hours....then....I learned how powerful that word NO really is and mama doesn't like it so much anymore! I don't know what the big deal is, I mean I was just trying to assert myself and I think I did a darned good job! Mama was eating a cookie and I politely signed "eat" and she gave me a piece. Then I signed "eat" again and she tried to give me my banana that I'd been eating. So I simply said, "NO NO NO," forcefully gently pushed the banana away and grabbed her cookie! Do YOU see anything wrong with that? I certainly don't!

Oh my goodness!! I just stumbled onto your blog...not even sure how (although I think it was fun Lyla and Isabelle's blog). I have a little girl with Ds who turned 2 on March 29. So your little Zoya reminds me so much of her. Ella even has the same shirt that Zoya is wearing in these pics. I can't wait to check out more of your blog. She is so cute!!!

ReplyDeleteI understand wanting something so bad that you are willing to do what ever it takes to get it!! Your Mom did the same thing to get you home! Your Mom and Dad fought, pushed and never ever gave up. You are the result!!! The BEST result ever. It is very easy to see that you my sweet little girl are just like your MOMMY!!! A fighter and determined to get what you want out of life. A cookie is just the beginning!

Hate to tell you Zoya but that "NO" word can getyou in all kinds of trouble so be careful with it!!! But Hey I get why you would say NO to a banana when there is a cookie in the room!!!

ReplyDeletePlease tell Mommy that you are simply standing up for yourself and choose not to be a door mat. :-) I would pick cookies over almost anything else, too. Bananas are tasty though, so maybe have both! Practice the word "compromise" next. That will knock Mommy on the floor! ha ha
