So how do you like having a baby? Zoya was a bit older but still very tiny. Do you find the experience the same or very different? If so, how and what is your favorite part or a part you missed with Zoya but can do or have done with Mila?
OH Ashlee...what a great question...I'm going to do a blog post on this...but for now I'll say....one thing I got to experience with Mila and not Zoya that I could have died happily without ever experiencing is POOP IN THE BATHTUB! OH MY! Seriously though this is a fabulous question...can't wait to write my response in a post!
Mila is so adorable! Thanks for sharing the new pictures! Even though I haven't met your family, I feel attached to your girls from reading your blog, and it's great to see updates. I have two girls as well, also about 3 years apart.
Just saw this now--funny because I never look back at my own comments but for some reason I felt like I should. In any case, my girls are 6 and almost 3, and they are great friends 80% of the time--the other 20% they are arguing over a toy or the "right" way to do something, and the little one is almost always the instigator. But I'm so glad they have each other and I know they are too--when the older one gets home from school the little one runs to hug her and ask how her day was. We have one adopted daughter and one biological, and I feel that they were just meant to be sisters.
While I'm leaving this overly long message, I just want to thank you for your blog. I'm not sure why I started following it (had a connection to RR and then happened to see Mila), but it's been so great to see your story, and it has also opened my eyes in ways that I am grateful for.
Those pictures are adorable. I can't believe how much she's grown already. I'm sure you are extremely busy but go to bed extremely happy at night also!
Oh my word, isn't she just the picture of health??? She takes my breath away!!! Bless you for rescuing this precious little angel and her sweet sister too!!! (((BIG HUGS)))!!!
I wouldn't believe it was the same child had I not seen it all with my own eyes! I stumbled on some videos of her in the orphanage the other day and oh my goodness....just unbelievable...she was hanging on by a thread and now she's our fat little meatball :)
Wow! I can't get over how much she is changing! I know I say that pretty much every post but it is just so true! She is like a whole different kid every update. Just for the sake of size referance can you tell me what size clothes she is in now?
Oh my gosh....she is such a cutie!!! Love the fabulous chunky baby legs...she has come a long way in such a short period of time. She just blossoms in every photo you post of her. Thanks for sharing her with us.
It's odd (odd in a good way) that both of your girls actually LOOK like you. Just goes to show you that God knew as he was knitting them together just who they were meant to belong to...
We get that a lot! Funny because we had one tiny picture of Mila so no idea really what she looked like and from Zoya's referral picture we thought she'd have red hair and green eyes! Nope...blonde and blue haha!
I really think that Mila looks like Zoya and I'm not talking about that beautiful little extra thing she is sporting. I can't believe that is the same little baby you brought home... my oh my how she has grown. She is beautiful!
Ohhh, Sarah she is BEAUTIFUL (NOT that you/we didn't already know that lol!) and it's unbelievable how she has grown and looking so healthy and happy and obviously adored! I love seeing her personality develop even more and shine through--just like her beautiful big sister!
Oh My!!! Look at those chunky healthy meaty little thighs! She looks SOOO GOOD! I just want to send her pics off to the orphanages and show them these kids are MORE TYPICAL than different and they deserve the same love and care that all children deserve, because look at how beautiful they are!
She's lookin great! I've been loving the updates, and I'm sure you've been loving loving on her!
I just sent pics over to the orphanage with a family whose travelling now...they loved seeing them...it brought tears to our facilitators eyes...I think it's so so so important to show Ukraine how much love can do :)
Good thing you don't post your address because I would for sure come and steal those beautiful baby girls from you! What a sweet song God is singing over Mila and Zoya, thanks for sharing it with us! - Erica
She is just the cutest little thing ever! You guys are so blessed!
